Cooking in the Country™

At Puschka Farm we’re crazy about food!

Apart from trying to do things the “right” way we concentrate on our passions – garlic, organic vegetables and cooking!

In our “Cooking in the Country™“ classes which take place in Puschka House we bring in chefs to give cooking classes for a day, or for a weekend - we concentrate on cooking, eating and fun! You are guaranteed to have a good time whether you come along and join a group of like-minded people or whether you make up your own group. This is also an ideal way to break down barriers in a group and do some team building.

One Day Cooking Class

Arrive at Puschka House by 9 am and after tea/coffee we start the class at 10 am. Our classes are “hands–on” and at about 1-30 pm we are ready to eat. We all sit down together at a long table on the stoep, or if it is cold, in the dining room. By about 4pm we are all ready to go home.

Weekend Cooking Class

You will stay in  Puschka Stone Cottage or Puschka House or Puschka Writer's Cottage. On Friday we all get together at 6pm at the main farm house to get to know each other. We have a light supper while sitting at big tables on the farmhouse stoep.

On Saturday morning after a light breakfast we start our first cooking class at 9.30 am so that we are ready to eat at about 1pm.

The afternoon is spent resting, swimming or walking so that we are ready to get together for our evening meal at about 1830.

On Sunday morning, after a light breakfast, we start our second and final class for the weekend at 9.30 am.

After feasting on what we have cooked it is time to say goodbye to our old and new friends.

Cooking Weekend Rates

R2500.00 per person sharing for the weekend. (includes classes, accommodation, food and wine with meals.)
